Basket
Case
Basket Case is
my collective, named after a Green Day song that fits me almost to a T.
This is the hub of all my other sites, as in you can get to any site I've
made from here. This is also the site I'd prefer people to link to
so that everyone can see all my other sites instead of just one, but it's
okay if you want to link to just one (i.e. you're crediting me for using
my graphics, then you'd link to my graphics page).
Layout I
I have no screenshots
of this, which is okay since you really aren't missing much. Just
a pink background, text on the left, and an image of Utena to the right
with text links under it. This was kind of a simple layout just to
get the collective started and set up, if you know what I mean. A
transitional layout. I had one of these for my first personal page
too.
Layout II
I like this one a lot
better than the last. That's an actual flower I scanned too.
It kinda wilted after I scanned it, but that's okay 'cause I had loads
more. These don't grow wild near my house (I wish), they're from
the florist. I really like the color scheme too. I used Shoe
String Picture to slice up the images (so like instead of making an image
map I could just split it into several different images and link them separately).
A very convenient way to display links when you have only a few.
Layout III
June layout here...isn't
Sakura kawaii? I love that show, even though I've only seen a couple
episodes, it's just cute. Same with Kodomo no Omocha. I saw
this picture and decided I had to make a layout of this, so tada, I did.
The picture itself just looks like something you'd make a layout of, you
know? Yeah, whatever. Oh, and I used the great and wonderful
BladePro to do the funky text
stuff, but now my copy expireth so I have to download it again. What
a pain in the butt.
Layout IV
Ah yes, another political
layout for November. I got the idea for this in math class and I
could hardly pay attention to the class for thinking about this. ^-^ This
girl is my character Acacia, who's a Green (like me) and is an extremely
liberal, hippie-ish person. The type you'd meet at Woodstock. ^-^
I made a KiSS doll of her and I'm writing a novel about her too, called
Third. I think she's cute...oh, and the kana to the right of Acacia
says "green party" in Japanese. See, taking Japanese can really pay
off. ^-^
Layout V
I fell in LOVE with
these pics the minute I saw them. They're from Surfing Elephants,
a brilliant Utena site, and it's the Utena gang (most of 'em) celebrating
Christmas! The Welcome Santa stuff was already on the picture, all
I did to it was write Basket Case above and put in the backgrounds.
I love Utena's and Saionji's...heck, everyone's facial expressions.
And it's so cute how Touga looks like he's blowing a kiss to the girls!
Hee hee! Also, Shiori isn't in it. Yay. *is a big Juri supporter/fangirl*
Layout VI
I love this pic!
And I love this layout! It's one of my better ones recently.
See, I got this awesome image map program called Coffee
Cup, and I used that to make this. It's so cool! Each of
the little Bakuretsu Hunters (the little SD ones, Dotta, Gateau, Marron,
Carrot, and Big Mama) is a link, and they all have mouseover text too (Coffee
Cup does that for you *hugs Coffee Cup*). I really think this is
one of my best layouts, it looks really cool. I even made an animated
banner for BC based on this layout. Pics from Andromeda's
Bakuretsu Hunters World, where I get all my Hunters pics.
Layout VII
I found this super-cute
picture of Anshi from the Utena movie and decided I HAD to turn it into
a layout, so here it is, my third Utena layout for BC. I definitely
design with Utena too much, I need to branch out a little...that was what
I was trying to do with that Bakuretsu Hunters layout. Maybe next
time I'll do a different series...Rayearth, Lost Universe, Slayers...I
really like the Utena character designs though, especially movie Anshi.
I want hair like that...I'd love to look like her.
Layout VIII
*squeals* I loooove
this pic. The original is black and white, and I _know_ I found a
colored version somewhere...unfortunately I didn't take note of where,
and I didn't find it again in time for this layout, so I colored it myself.
Kind of a pain in the arse, but I think it really came out well.
It's from Yami no Matsuei, by the way, which is one of the many series
that I cannot wait until it comes out in the US. And I like the colors
in this one too, they're all warm and autumney. Autumn is my favorite
season, and I always design all these orangey layouts around that time.
Layout IX
Darn it, when is someone
going to translate the HanaKimi manga? Okay, so this is Nanba from
Hanazakari no Kimitachi E, which I have heard sooooo much about and I really
want to read...especially since this character in particular bears a striking
resemblance to the hero in my novel (not the Acacia novel, Third, a different
one). Actually, I based the character design of Nishiro from Under
the Bridge after Nanba a little bit, but in this picture he _really_ looks
like Nishiro. Scary. So yeah, that's why I did this layout.
Two bishounen layouts in a row...that's not like me, is it? Ah well,
I'm sure none of the fangirls are complaining. n.n
