FAQ
In other words, Frequently
Asked Questions. I don't get questions about kisekae too much, so
this is more like...hypothetically asked questions. Like just in
case perchance you HAD one of these questions, it would be answered here
so you wouldn't have to ask me. So if you're going to email me, please
read this first, I might answer whatever question here for you.
How do you make KiSS sets?
I'm the wrong person to
ask, methinks. ^-^ I suck at explaining things and I wouldn't have time
to make my own tutorial anyway. I mostly learned from Emby Quinn's
tutorial,
the ones at this
site, and those of a site called Dragonfly KiSS that, last I checked,
isn't around anymore. Also by looking at the CNF on other people's
sets (which is where I learned how to do the blinking FKiSS effect).
Um...*blanks out* I know there are other good tutorials out there, maybe
try looking at the Big KiSS page.
Can I put your doll on
my page?
Go ahead! Just don't
change it, take out the txt file, or claim it as your own and I'm fine
with it.
Can I use one of your
base dolls for mine?
Sorry, no. That's
what my templates page is for. Other
sites have templates too, look around and you'll find some. I just
want my dolls to be unique, and if people keep popping up with basedolls
that are just like mine, that kind of spoils that.
Can I make a doll of
one of your characters (i.e. someone from Conclave, Acacia, etc.)?
Go right ahead! I'd
love to get fanart of my characters, and what is KiSS if not "interactive
fanart"? Oh yeah, and if you need more character information, clothing
suggestions, anything like that, email me. And make sure there's
a happy little disclaimer-thing somewhere in your set that says the character's
mine. Just in case.
Can I use some of the
clothing designs from your KiSS dolls?
Um...I guess. I don't
consider myself very talented at clothing design, but sure...if you want
to use one of my designs go ahead.
Will you do the coding
for my doll?
Ugh, no. Coding is
my least favorite part, and I think it really completes the whole experience
of making KiSS if you have to go through all the work and do it yourself.
And I'm not just being mean either, but sometimes you have to suffer for
your art! ^-^
I have a KiSS page, will
you link me?
Sure, if I like it and I
like your dolls maybe.
Can I link to Tira's
KiSSing Booth?
Go ahead, I'd appreciate
that muchly. ^-^ Link banners are here if you
want to use them.
Do you want to do a collaboration
doll with me/do you need help on such-and-such doll?
Perhaps, but only if it's
someone on my future ideas list or someone I'd be interested in doing,
or one of my characters. And if you have a sample of some of your
previous KiSS work to show me, so I can see how your style is and if it
would work with mine, that'd be recommended. Although if I find that
I don't have enough time, then no, sorry. As for help with a doll...I
think I can manage myself, thanks. ^-^ If it were a request for somebody
that'd be different, but...see the next question.
Do you take requests?
Nope. The dolls I
do are subjects that are meaningful to me, so I know their style of clothing
and I'm more inspired to work on them and make them good. If it's
a request then it might be someone's original character (whom I may know
nothing about aside from the usual doll-box stats) or a character from
an anime, manga, movie, etc. that I'm just not interested in, so it won't
be as good a doll. If you really feel that strongly about wanting
to see a KiSS doll of that character, maybe you should try to learn KiSS
yourself. That's how I got into it. ^-^
Okay then...can YOU teach
me how to make a doll?
Like I said, I'm not such
a good teacher. You're better off with one of the tutorials I mentioned
above, I'd probably just confuse you more. ^-^
Acacia sounds interesting,
can you tell me more about her? (or any other original character in my
set)
Well, since Acacia is all
over my website and she has so much personality and backstory that goes
with her, I thought I'd make her a profile
page (which might expand into a whole section on her story, I dunno).
But with most of my other originals (like Chifuri, Izumi), what you hear
about them in the text file in the set is what you get, and that's about
all.
Can I use one of your
dolls for my website layout/RPG character's image?
Yup. So long as proper
credit is given, yup. For the RPG character you can even edit my
doll's hair color or eye color or whatever, if it suits you.
Hey, I saw so-and-so
on your ideas list and I really like that character, hurry up and make
a set of her/him!
I'll get it done in due
time, don't need a reminder but thanks anyway. Never rush an artist.
I have a question you
didn't answer here, how do I reach you?
Wow, you do? Thought
I'd answered everything here, but anyway, tira@juri.zzn.com is my email
address. As long as it's not "can you do the coding/base doll/coloring/whatever
for my doll" it's fine.
